The common suggestion is to mix sodium bicarbonate baking soda with CA, but this is a chemical reaction and can generate heat and cure quickly. The talcum powder (gypsum based) doesn't produce a chemical reaction - it just adds bulk. You have to mix the CA in well, since the surface tension will keep it from mixing at first. The thickness of the putty can be adjusted by changing the amount of talc or CA. When it hardens, the putty has a similar hardness to styrene.

Thanks Frank, much appreciated.

Still beating this dead horse.  It has been a minute or three since I have shared any WIP images so here is an update that is long overdue.

Heeding Frank3K's comments from quite some time ago I decided that it was indeed unwise to place the driver's position so far forward as to be at the scene of the crash ahead of the rest of the vehicle.  I opted to place the driver on the platform closer to the curb side of the vehicle.  For this I used several pieces of plastic that were originally to be used as figure bases along with some Evergreen strip cut to length.  A small box to the right of the driver came from an ancient Tamiya  kit that was at one time a fender mounted stowage box.  All of the external details were removed so origin unknown but I had two of them to be used.

The white bits to the rear of the vehicle were originally glucose test strips for an old device that were cleaned of the circuitry and paint to be used now as structural reinforcements for the removable engine access cover.  The strips had to be attached with CA glue to make them stay in place.

The bottom/underside of the vehicle has not changed much since the previous update.

Looks good, Jeff - quite an improvement over the original warped disaster.

You kind of know that all is well with the world when the Mega Mule makes a re-appearance!  ;)

If the bed is still warped just place something that looks really heavy on the downhill side of the bed.
Then you can tell people how hard you worked to get it to look that way!  ;)

The warped platform issues seemed to have been sorted out during construction and mating of the chassis to the cargo platform.  The one real issue I have now is that because I did not paint the components before assembly to this point I will have areas that can not now be given a dab of paint due to being in back of something or behind something on the chassis/platform.

Not to worry though as this was a "fun" project and getting wrapped up in details was never the plan, more like an imagineering exercise.

RIP Mega Mule 1.2.

Chalk it up to going beyond my abilities in not completing certain objectives before attending to the next.  I was attempting to modify the driver's station due to interference between the seat and steering wheel.  My attempt to pry the attached part failed and part of the cargo platform broke away.  Same issue on the second Mule when attempting to do same task.  No regrets as it was a learning experience.

Not the end of this project.  Still have three more in the stash.  I think this next iteration will only be one instead of two in order to make the project more efficient and time consuming with the duplication of each step and task.

WIP within the past hour or so.  Cleaned up the underside blemishes, tool/mould release marks and filled in the holes on the platform where driving controls would have been located.  Added the cross beams, front brace and the tubular chassis parts.
