Still beating this dead horse. It has been a minute or three since I have shared any WIP images so here is an update that is long overdue.
Heeding Frank3K's comments from quite some time ago I decided that it was indeed unwise to place the driver's position so far forward as to be at the scene of the crash ahead of the rest of the vehicle. I opted to place the driver on the platform closer to the curb side of the vehicle. For this I used several pieces of plastic that were originally to be used as figure bases along with some Evergreen strip cut to length. A small box to the right of the driver came from an ancient Tamiya kit that was at one time a fender mounted stowage box. All of the external details were removed so origin unknown but I had two of them to be used.
The white bits to the rear of the vehicle were originally glucose test strips for an old device that were cleaned of the circuitry and paint to be used now as structural reinforcements for the removable engine access cover. The strips had to be attached with CA glue to make them stay in place.
The bottom/underside of the vehicle has not changed much since the previous update.
