Valkyrie Update:

Right then! Time for a new project which I will be calling the 'Valkyrie'...

I'm going to be using this wee beastie as the base chassis for this whiff - noting that the Kugelblitz turret is already earmarked for the eventual construction of the Ratte - so just the hull.

The Valkyrie will sit within the same 1946 AH TL as my earlier Thor MLRS and the Griffin HAPC models - so looking at the reuse of obsolete vehicles for new weapon systems. More to follow... ;)

Good choice, lovely kit - started putting a basic interior in my turret to have the doors open.

Yup, it sits like a brooding monster up in my loft.  I really must get it down nd completed - if only to prove that I can.  However, I have absolutely no idea what I’ll do with it once it’s complete!  :o

Valkyrie Update:

Still very early days, but first port of call is to move the engine from the rear to the mid position where the discarded turret would have been. This is supposed to be 1946 (in a Germany that ultimately survives WW2) and so whilst moving the engine, I decided to give it a bit of a face-lift too. The new Maybach HL120 TRM has been uprated to 330hp and the engine cooling system has also received a significant overhaul.

Not a lot glued in place yet and large blanking plate covering the rear deck - much to do... ;)

Generally whenever in this thread, whatever you do. I like it.

Went down a similar path of using older chassis to mount other weapons systems when I built my Rheintochter Missile TEL So very interested as you move forward
