Uncured resin has always been a long-term problem in the past - it takes 5 years to dry but 3D stuff will hopefully be better as I will soon get my first 3D-printed kit.

I could actually use some building scaffolding items like those support struts.

Which 3D printed kit are you getting? The CV90120 is actually my second 3D printed kit. My first one was the Dagor. It is about 1/2 way up on the previous page. It is still in-progress.

Unfortunately, I already trimmed off all the support struts and binned them.

I'm getting the IDF prototype Nagmachon (M-60 chassis), big blocky superstructure & big nose armour - only one vehicle produced as a concept - they went with a Centurion base for the production vehicles.

Very cool! I never knew there was an M60 chassis Nagmachon prototype. Looking forward to seeing it.

I haven't updated my in-progress builds in a while as I can only paint outside. With the long winters where I live, I can't paint so I work on other kits during those winter months. With spring time here, I was able to work on painting some old projects on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Some kits were already painted but needed touch ups while some others needed a clear coat. Others needed priming.

Here are some of the kits I worked on those last few days. These are all old Dragon M1A1 kits. They all need the wheels, tracks and some smaller parts added and detail painting done before weathering. I really suck at weathering so they won't get weathered for quite a while as it is my weakest skill and I am no good at it.

First up is USMC from OIF.


Second is US Army also from OIF. I used Archer dry transfers but the red stripe was cracked, it came that way but I did have it for something like 25 years or so before using it. The “ANSWER TO THIS” on the right side of the barrel is crooked as it moved on me while rubbing it onto the barrel. The left side of the barrel (not shown), some letters were stuck to the backing so not all letters are on the barrel.


Third is another US Army from OIF. It has the MCR mount from the Dragon M1 Panther kit that I got from a friend. The turret is missing because I have to redo the turret as the primer crackled on the top of it so it will be the headless horseman for a while until I can get back to it.


Fourth is yet another US Army from a little later from OIF.


I will get photos of the other ones later.

Along with those four Dragon M1A1 kits above, I also got two Dragon M270 MLRS kits primed and the cab interior base color applied. The pale green looks brighter than it really is due to the camera flash. I will be working on the interior details next. I also primed and did the interior base color of the Dragon M270A1 but didn't take photos yet.

This first one is the original NATO kit and will be in the NATO camo scheme as Ukrainian.



This one will be in overall sand from Desert Storm. The sand shown is just primer. It will be in Model Master US Army/Marines sand.



This Hobby Boss German Leopard 2A6 was also primed. It will be in the NATO camo scheme with Ukraine markings.

Thanks! My window has closed already. It rained yesterday and raining today and will rain all next week up to Friday. Hopefully I will have more opportunity the following week. I will try to finish the interiors of those MLRS kits as I can hand paint the rest of the interior.

Today is another cold, dark, gloomy and rainy day. According to the forecast, another 4 more days of this. That will be 8 days straight if they are correct but so far it has rained for 4 days straight. This is typical for my area though but we have actually had less rain this season than previous seasons.

Not much done other than fitting a few pieces in the cabs of the MLRS kits. Nothing really interesting to take photos of. This entire week is not going to be productive for me as I have a lot of errands to run for my parents.

Seven months is a long time without rain. Hope you get some soon.

We had very heavy thunderstorms yesterday with torrential downpour but as much rain as we have had these last six days, it is still less than we have had in the last eight years.

Still not much done because of the rain but according to the forecast, this weekend and Monday is supposed to be clear so hoping I can get something done then. Supposed to rain again Tuesday into the next weekend so nothing getting done again next week.

We had 3 days without rain but it started to rain again today and will rain into the weekend. During the break, I did manage to get some painting done.

I painted the Tamiya M113 and M1A2 SEP TUSK I overall sand with the Vallejo 71.075 sand (ivory). The M113 ACAV shields were painted in Tamiya NATO green but looks darker with a gloss coat over them. Hoping the flat coat will lighten them up once I get to that stage. Still a lot more to do on both and I forgot to paint the sprockets for the M1A2 and also the front, left fender should be NATO green so back to the paint booth once the rain stops sometime next week. I also have to paint the rubber band tracks for both.



I also got the Dragon M270 MLRS from Desert Storm painted. I used the Model Master US Army/Marines sand. I missed the edges of the top cover for the launch module housing so I need to touch those up. I also need to paint the hydraulic arms for the launch module housing as I missed those too. The cab and launch module are only dry fitted for the photos. I will glue everything together once I get the rocket pods installed. I also still need to assemble the tracks and paint them. Once everything is glued together, the launch module will be shown in the raised position.

Yes, it is Vallejo Model Air 71.075. This is the one I used.

I got the information about Vallejo Model Air 71.075 from the warwheels link shown below. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the color sample image. This image showing the color samples shows that the Vallejo Model Air 71.075 is a perfect match for current US military overall sand. The image is from that warwheels link. The Vallejo Surface Primer Desert Sand base 73613 also shown on the image looks pretty close too but just slightly lighter.

The M270 looks great. Don't look at pictures of the real vehicle's interior, though. Dragon really some shortcuts and simplified quite a bit.

I have a few interior photos to compare but mostly for color. I noticed a bit of discrepancies between the real interior and the Dragon interior. I am not too worried about it as you won't see much of the interior anyway.

Started on the stowage for the Dragon USMC M1A1HC with mine plow. Not finished yet as some still need painting and a few more things will be added. Everything is only dry fitted for now for proposed placement. It will more than likely change once I get the other stuff painted. I will do a wash and weathering once I get all the stowage parts painted.

Got some small stuff done on the interior of the Trumpeter BMP-3. Still not done as this one will have a lot of weathering as it will be one in Ukraine as abandoned and Ukrainian troops inspecting it. I couldn't find my regular Model Master red paint so I used Model Master Ferrari Red instead. Hoping it will darken up with the weathering.



I also got two Tamiya M113 kit interiors painted. Second photo shows one that will be an A3 from OIF and the third photo shows one that will be an A2 from Just Cause. Still more to do before closing up the hull but not going crazy with the interior as you won't see that much even with the hatches and rear ramp open. I won't be adding the engines. The spall liners were made from plastic sheet that I measured from the Academy A3 kit.
