But that one does look much better than what they made the RN take - it's a wonder they didn't build your version, make much more sense :)

I'm not sure how viable this one is. Just in the nominal takeoff position, it looks like the prop nearly hits the ground once the tail comes up; any bounce and "Whoops!!"

That one based on Corsair fuselage would look alomost like Fw-190D if you give it Mustang's cockpit. Hmm... Dissimilar air combat training in WWII?
