Hard to determine best location for the MLG on the Voodoo. The damned thing had such small wings from the start and the Su-17/22 MLG would be almost the same location on the VG wing as it would be on the original Voodoo wing. So I would hazard to guess that either MLG would work on the Voodoo. [...]
So, from a modelling point of view, probably best to stay with the
Voodoo main gear (to match F-101 nose gear height).

The VG wing from the Su-17/22 works well on both subjects but does reduce the number of stores stations available to pretty much zero on both and in case of the Voodoo which had only two small pylons for ECM pods on some models to the Buccaneer which had four plus the weapons bay that is a pretty significant reduction in payload capability.
Yes, that is the real issue. On the
Buccaneer, the narrower gear allows at least the drop tanks on the fixed wing portion. Maybe another pair of short pylons outboard for self-defence missiles? The latter would be all you'd get on the Voodoo wings (so same as those RW ECM pods you mentioned).
I suppose the next question would be: how does the Sukhoi's swinging panels' integral fuel tank capacity compare with that of the original
Bucc or
Voodoo wings?
