28014 was an 8th Hussars tank. As they lost about 30 running tanks when HQ 4th Armored was overrun
4 Armd Bde lost quite a few tanks early on during CRUSADER and a number of these were reused by the Germans and then abandoned for reasons. At one point the NZ Div Cav recaptured eight in one go.
This is one of four Stuarts captured from the 4th Armoured Brigade earlier in the fighting and then recovered in working order, but out of petrol and were offered to C Squadron NZ Div Cav. These tanks were put into a new troop under Sergeant Major Charlie Mack. The photo is of Lt Jack Reeves tank loaded up loot from Bardia after its capture. He had table and chairs and a wire wove bed loaded on. The tanks were handed back on the 6th January 42. Here is Colorado and crew which was WOII Charlie Mack's tank.
