Here's a quick mock up ( I'm thinking of using some led's and have it hovering)

Can't decide on colour gold, blue or pink.

Pink is for Cadillacs.

Black is the traditional Ford colour ("Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black." Henry Ford, 1863-1947), or blue.

........ or beige.

Hi all, so what happened here.

Both parts were painted at the same time, with the same primer and the same top coat, I decided to give them a second coat and this happened

Sorry, can't help you, mate. Same crap happens to me, too.

I'm guessing somewhere along the line some moisture/oil/release-agent has gotten onto it or seeped through the underlying paint, or, maybe, the paint on the rear panel hadn't quite cured/dried as well.

Curses ! I've had the same problem between automotive putty & automotive paint - you'd think they would be compatible. Had to put a coat of Humbrol or Testors model paint between the two layers.
