At the Future of Flight/Boeing Tour in Everett, WA, a peak behind the curtains while they were preparing a new display.
The models in boxes are eight 1/100 models from Pacific Miniatures that I epoxied together for their display, they didn't want little
hands to be able to pull parts off. 737-800, 737-MAX8, 747-8i, 767-300F, 777-300CR, 777-9X, 787-8 and 787-10.
The 777X was all resin, most were resin fuselages with solid injection-moulded ABS wings etc., the 737s were all
ABS including the solid one-piece fuselages. They are extremely well moulded and finished and it's easy to see
why PacMin are a major player in their field.
I still haven't seen the completed display, probably go over next week.
The 777-9X is freakin'
enormous, the new wing is very different from the original and the engine nacelle diameter is mind-boggling.
