Have you planned to do a complete scheme for the "Navy scheme"?



I have a 2 Gripen in my stash and with the "Alaska" and desert scheme, it could be one I will probably choose for my project  :-[

That is quite a good look for the Tempest, it makes me want to go out and buy a Heller/Smer Tempest kit and try it out.

I might even be inclined to track down a Matchbox Tempest kit and make it as a Tempest II as I'm rather partial to the Centaurus nose on the Tempest.

The Merlin might be a bit small? Even the 36.70L Griffon was something of a tiddler compared with Mikulin's 46.66L AM-38.

I like it :)  How about a Fairey Monarch? 2,240 hp out of a 51.08 L H-24. Or, backdating a bit, a Rolls-Royce Vulture (potentially 1,750 hp out of a 42L X-24)?

I wonder if you could get a pair of Shvetsov M-82 radials onto a Whirlwind and replace the Hispano 20mm guns with ShVAK cannons.

A nice lend/lease hotrod I'd think.

Hmmm, it would be rather overkill.... ;D

A pair of Klimov M-100s or M-103s would be a more realistic power boost that wouldn't twist the plane into a pretzel.
