As to how I was there to take the picture, before SWIMBO went in for surgery, we had been invited to attend a medical conference, as part of a Patient Support group we're both part of, and she was determined to go. After I drove us both up the day before, we had a couple of hours to kill, so went for a drive around Edinburgh, and ended up in Leith, where SWIMBO took the picture . . .

Yeah, Tasmanian politics is extremely underwhelming. I've worked and lived in a lot of places in Australia including Queensland where I am now and I've never seen government corruption anywhere like Tasmania. Corruption and ineptitude. The ongoing farce that is the ferry service is too depressing to go into.

Beautiful place, the cold sclerophyll forests down south are the most beautiful places in Australia.
