Toyotas in Uniform
« on: February 19, 2025, 02:06:47 AM »
Hi all,

I've decided to open up a new section here for Toyota vehicles in military service.

I've you've got shots of Hilux, Land Cruiser, Mega Cruiser and so forth in military colours; stick them here.

I'll kick it off with a Czech army Hilux. The Czech military took their first Hilux into service in 2021. The type is a replacement for Land Rover Defender variants in the Czech army:

I was at an exhibition/trade show for military and emergency response services today and snapped a few pictures of a Czech army Hilux being put through its paces:

I also snapped a couple of a Hilux in the Brno city police display:

I remember UN operating quite a few Toyota Land Cruisers in Croatia in 1997. My UN Military Observer Team had a Station Wagon Series one, in addition to a Nissan pickup and a Jeep Cherokee (which was everybody's least favorite vehicle.
