Ąpropos Il-86

1. RW Il-86

2. Do you know that in the beginig of project, Il-86 was to have Il-62 config (with 4 engines in the rear fuselage)?

3. What if a turboprop powered widebody?

4. Superpowered Il-86

Nice!  Turboprops on a swept-wing Il-86? Kinda Bear-ish.

And speaking of turboprops on swept wings: turbopropped, original wing Il-76 Candid?
Cheers,

Has this config ever existed in RW?  I mean squared tail with early nose and canopy.

Not as a bomber, AFAIK. So 'no' on the nose.

Of course, the Ju 88G night-fighters combined the earliest-model Ju 88A-1 canopies with Ju 188 tailplanes (and nacelles).

On top, original Do-17 and Ju-88. The rest are some ideas merging these designs.

What are your favourites?

I prefer the bottom right variant. Something like an update on the Do-215 with a bit of that single-tailed Do-217 prototype
