Well that is a hell of a start.. nice office work.

I looked at the parts and then thought back to the venerable original "Bit 0 Lace" Airfix B-17G.. that new mould looks fantastic.

Looking forward to seeing this evolve.

Great start, Rod!

You're obviously a bit of a Master at the aftermarket stuff! :icon_alabanza:

Airfix to their credit has retooled several of their modeling subject mainstays including the Boeing B-17G myself having built a number of their venerable 1962-vintage Boeing B-17G kits it coming on the market same year as the marginally better-tooled Revell B-17F "Memphis Belle" building a couple of them as well. Larger late 1950s & 1960s Airfix airplane models featured moveable ailerons, elevators & rudders, Revell's did as well, Revell of Germany "continuing the tradition" over the last many years retooling some of their more popular modeling subjects.

Alas I'm not going to build any more B-17s, hands are full wanting to build limited series of Luftwaffe & 1940 Battle of France Armee de l'Air 1/72 scale aircraft end of this year into 2021 before "permanently retiring" from hobby modeling in 2022 barring any new or desired re-issue pre & WWII Italian military aircraft subjects, possibly somebody's P-40B/C as a wildcard.

The cockpit looks fantastic and the new Airfix kit is such a huge improvement over their ancient B-17. It really is good to see them re-tool so many of their older subjects.

That deserves to be a cut away or have removable sections. It would be a real shame to cover up all of that fantastic work.
