Did the compressor motor die or did the piston seize up? If it's the motor, it's dead... if it's the piston, and it's like most Chinese made hobby compressors, it can be (carefully) disassembled, piston rods and seals cleaned and put back together. I had the cam that connected the motor to the piston come loose in an old compressor. I tightened it back up, cleaned everything and it ran well for a few months.
