Great job! The more I looked at it the more I realized there was a lot more detail and shape difference than just a -190 with some stuff added on. more interesting the longer you look.

Thankyou for the great comment Taiidanntomcat, it took a long while to sort the actual shapes of the nose, exhausts etc, not to mention the hideous "pebbly' interiored canopy transparency.

Thank you all for the support and kind comments gents

Wombat thank you especially (your comment on this V-18 was very generous) and although I don't know if I'll ever produce your "submarine-helicopter-dirigible" but I do have a few full WHIFFS underway, a "different" Skyvan, two A-4B Skyhawks one relatively straightforward WHIFF and one "outrageous" one. A HMS Devonshire WHIFF in 1/600 plus a few "others" in planning ;) All of these came to a screaming halt when the mojo was damaged, but they'll be back underway soon now, well as soon as my time allows and the two OOB . . . (yeah right) . . . builds I started a week ago are done.

Regards all and thanks again,
Cheers all  :icon_beer: :icon_beer:

Modelling is a HOBBY, it's supposed to be fun! When it stops being fun, it's no longer a hobby.

If you enjoy spending hundreds of dollars, or hundreds of hours correcting every little error in a produced kit, go for it! If you'd rather build it as it came out of the box, great! If you'd prefer to toss some parts into the spares bin, grab a few other parts out & throw them all together to make a submarine-helicopter-dirigible, knock yourself out, mate!

You paid for the bloody thing, it's yours to do with as you will. So, go do that & HAVE FUN!

When people start trolling either the moderators should jump on them, swiftly & hard, or you leave the site & find somewhere better.

That's why I like 3 sites, total (Beyond the Sprues, What If Modelers & Starship Modeler (when/if I can find the time)), because I have yet to see any real nastiness on any of them (occasional misunderstandings, yes; especially by modellers new to the site over constructive criticisms offered in good faith) &, when push comes to shove, most of the time they don't care if the posted model is a whif, sci-fi or RW & they'll appreciate the job no matter the individual's skill level.

Incredibly well said OW, its the reason why i settled on BTS as my modelling home.

Seconded. For some out there, 'hobby' seems to mean being a complete buzz-kill  :P

So, a big thanks to Greg, Jon, the Mods, and ... well, everyone on BTS!  :D

Coolest-looking 190 there is!  8) And a jolly nice build, too. Love that you've added a pilot.

On Saturday 07Sep2019 I attended the Sydney Scale Model Show and for the first time in 30 years I entered some of my models  :o

I actually entered three in the "Small Scale Propeller" class/category. My two "Sorta Stangs" (much to the amusement of the older modellers who remembered them, and consternation of the younger modellers) and my Fw 190V-18.

My three on the table, the Claude was very nice too,

I had picked the Ki-67 Hiriyu (Peggy) for first and the P-47N for first/second and the amazing Beaufighter display "Coming in Hot" for a place so you can imagine my consternation after judging was finished when I got back to the table,

The Ki-67 won second,

The P-47N won third,

So we had to wait for the announcements in the auditorium.
When they announced my Fw had won gold, I did was just a little shocked  ??? and very pleasantly surprised  ;D

At home with her medal just to make sure,  :))

Sure glad I persevered with the hobby and this Fw build, still on a bit of a high that even my boss can't quite damage ;) ;)

That's one fantastic FW and a very well-earned 1st!

It looks like there was some very robust competition too.

Always great to see a "local" BtS boy make good.
