I got an older release of this as part of a Secret Santa GB at The Other Forum some years ago. My plan never played out, but the kit has been a great supply for parts like aerials!

Italeri has announced a newly tool H-21C Shawnee "Flying Banana" in 1/48 scale.  Marking are included for both an US and French variant.  Also in 1/48 there is a Macchi M.C. 205 Veltro with a 6 aircraft super decal sheet. including the camouflage pattern.  And as part of the Gulf War 25th Anniversary, a Jaguar A in 1/72 scale.

Full write up is here.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Great news! No longer must I hunt for a specific boxing of the Hasegawa kit!

That H-21 has been announced a couple times, but this is the first time I've seen marking illustrations. Italeri's choppers are generally pretty decent. Looking forward to this one...an selling my Aurora one, and the SH one.

Yep agree on that, their UH-1D was sweet, much nicer than Hasegawas.

Yesterday I saw test shot/prototype images online. I wish I could remember where. Found it! It looks great!

I'll be getting two of them :)

An in-box review of the big F-35 is online at Cybermodeller.

It looks damn good. GTX can even build one of the two RAAF examples which was at Avalon - A35-002 is included on the decal sheet!

For something different, do a F-35D (for "Dual Refuel") as a F-35A but with the probe and drogue of the F-35B & C added (that space is left empty in the F-35A forward fuselage for commonality).  There's a cost in weight and complexity, as well as material cost, but it would give more refueling options to operators that have both systems in use.

Please take note the year in which the Harrier was first deployed to the Falklands.   :o
