Heinkel He-1041 eine kleine asymmetrische Flug

Today I bought toys for my son and at the book store, and I bought a little model for me, the smallest one was an Heinkel 70 Revell 1/72nd.
My goal will be building an asymmetric derivative, reducing a lot length and span, into a truly "little" aircraft.

I've always had a soft-spot for this aircraft. Those elliptical wings and that inline are like modern design hallmarks of the era for me.
I've never considered building one asymmetrically, so I'll be very interested in seeing where you take this project, mon ami.
Bonne Chance!

Among the 82 parts, my first plan was using 21 of them only:

Then I changed my mind with a small wing, adding the engine cover and sharp tail part (to become a nose?):

Then I started gluing the fuselage almost normally (at first, wait...):

To acheive the little asymmetric plane, I saw away what I will remove:

Sprues+putty will make pod/fuselage - I consider a pusher layout, apart from the upside-down turn of the engine... (and rocket engine on the other side because the sharp tail has been used as sharp nose...). Crazy? Yes, I hope so.

With the first putty/filler, making it solid (when dried), before filling into the final shape (and sanding):

That's taking shape nicely, mon ami!
Seeing these photos reminds me of those time-lapse films of buds becoming flowers. I think we're in for a real treat with this project!

Thanks Brian!
The model is going on without problem.
I made sanding again and put canopies for the picture (to show better the intended final result: 2 forward canopies as there is no need of gunner, this is civilian/fun)...
Then putty again, on the underside this time.

That's quite an incredible transformation, Tophe! That sharp nose looks great!
You have some very serious Putty, Sand Repeat skills, mon ami!
Thanks for the update!

I like how you added a downward cant to the nose, mon ami!
That curve is mimicked nicely by the engine nacelle.
You have an artist's visual sense, Tophe!
Looking forward to your next update,
Brian

Mounting is finished* ready for painting...
* : I have found a scoop in the box, transforming the starboard rocket into a turbojet.
There are no cockpits but no need: the Windows will be black.

Painting is done! and dry (almost for a little drop under the tail...)
Just remains the black colouring of windows, and this may be quick with a black pen

That finished up nicely, mon ami!
I really like the unique layout which is complimented by your color choices.
The combination of those canopies & sharp noses make me think of the famous
Ilyushin Il-2
.
I bet your son likes it too!
