Valkyrie Update:

Another successful day in the construction yards. A coat of primer has been applied and, as always, the miracle of pulling everything together has happened once again.

I gave Feldwebel Hans Gruber and his faithful hound Rufus the day off...

Shakes head in stunned admiration. :-\  :icon_alabanza:

... And wonders why he even bothers buying models, let alone bother building them.  :icon_crap:

Oh, that's right! Because it's fun!  ;D

Totally A1 work.

Makes my PZ IV TEL with Rheintochter look totally amateurish... really like this one.

Thanks mate, very much appreciated.

I disagree, your stunning Rheintochter model has been an inspiration for many of my builds.   :icon_alabanza:

Respect and gratitude to all my antipodean mates on the site. 🇦🇺 🇳🇿

I know it’s probably already tomorrow with you but it’s still very much the 25th here and now!

Thanks, mate!

Unfortunately the day was made even more sombre because there have been two recent deaths of fellow whiffers & ex-Servicemen, both registered on this site but more active over on What If Modellers.

Phill Harrison (Wardukw), in New Zealand, in the evening of the Thursday just gone & Brian Ross (rickshaw), here in Adelaide, on the 6th of April (but I only found out yesterday).

Phill was only 57, & Brian was only 64!

Quite so. I knew that Brian hadn't been well for some time ... but it still comes as a shock!  :(

Thanks I was up for the local dawn service and then the ANZAC March here in my town. Great to see so many folks and young folks (given the recent surveys here about attitudes to serving your country amongst Gen Z'ers) out and about that early.

Thanks, mate!

Yes indeed, this has been a shocker of a week. In fact I am off today to a memorial service for a fellow model club member, who also passed on earlier this week,  so been quite the week.

Look after yourselves folks as far as you can
