SFW-15 Sesqueagle
« on: June 18, 2016, 09:54:25 PM »
Tomorrow in France is fathers' day and my wife asked what I would like as present. I have chosen a Revell 1/144 F-15E, that she bought today and that I plan to mount as Sesquiplane-Flying-Wing...

And, ahem, I wrote Sesqueagle but I am not sure of the spelling, is this Sesquigle in English, or Sesqigle?
I know that "sesquiplane" (for 1½ planes, between monoplane and biplane, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biplane#Sesquiplane ) does exist but how to match the pronunciation of Eagle?

What you wrote is probably the best blend of the two words IMHO.

The over head view with the T tail makes me think of a Javlin.
This is interesting, I'll be watching this one.

(there is a delay for building it: my 7 y.o. son has taken my model-table for plantation of seeds and making "triops" eggs be born in water not to disturb, so... maybe in july or august, sorry...)

From the dust of many little shrimp-triops eggs, only one was born and my son named it "Triomignon" (Triocute), and the seeds plantation was a success, and the volcano explosions worked with delight (sodium bicarbonate + vinegar + red stain), my son was very happy from this birthday gift.
But... we gave food to the little shrimp, not too much not to kill him, we changed part of its water, it was growing, turning from white to pink and now with a twin-boom tail... but after 5 days: no one anymore, but its lifeless body. My son was sad.
He helped me to build the Sesqueagle... a 30 minutes fun build.

Shown better:

to have less work, I inverted the fins (becoming upper wing) and tailplanes (becoming fins)

Another view. This is far from perfect but this was lots of fun, and my son smiled again...

Thanks a lot!

Of course, the 30 minutes build included a no-paint status (as the plastic is grey like the enclosed paint, no need), and I simplified this model with zero putty, so no need to cover it by paint. ???
