You know that a provided sister of HMS Hood would be named HMS Rodney.  :mellow:

The Hood was laid down at John Brown's yard on May 13, 1916. During the Battle of Jutland,  which started on the same day and ended in a tactical reverse but strategic victory for the Royal Navy, the loss of three british battlecruisers persuaded the Admiralty to order immediate cesation of work as the implications of these losses were considered. (...) The opportunity was also taken to consider other options for what could now become decisive capital ships, these options including an armament still of 15-in (381-mm) guns but in a revised disposition of three triple or two triple and two twin turrets for a displacement of between 40,900 and 43,500 tons, and speed trimmed back to between 30.5 and 30.75 kt.

Base model is Airfix HMS Hood 1/600. New turrets are taken from Airfix HMS Nelson but a little modified in order to look more like those of original Hood. Of course, Nelson turrets need Nelson mountings.

Quarter deck has been raised 1 deck to get a flush deck design



Accordingly, central superstructure had to be shortened about 25 mm.
