That's quite a flight of fancy there and you've got a good eye for figuring out which aircraft work with what animals/fruits/vegetables/other misc. items!

I smile every time I see a yellow color scheme. That hue challenges me to no end.

Nice work!

another Twin Otter (it is a nice kit, cheap, and each time you get a nice pair of floats to whiff with)
and another banana (it was a set of five I bought, and I am actually tempted by a second one)

Great! So good again! :-*
Sorry: if I do not say "this is better and better", it is because the twin-boomer came first... ;)

a banana in space!

I cheated a bit, by allowing for extended wheels and at the same time putting it on the booster ;-) because both views are nice

The shuttle is an Academy 1/144 (of which I had some cheap copies, still one left ...)

I'm beginning to think eric has some sort of hypnotic influence. The other day I bought a bunch of banana bread for no earthly reason.

Yes! Look at the proof: this morning, for no reason at all, I designed Lightning with nuclear jets, and the pilot was endangered by the rays so the Girafning version was better, then... a Banananing variant came into my mind, why??? ;)

« Reply #714 on: October 21, 2016, 10:42:35 PM »

there are not only bananas in life :

"this is not a pipe" (as Magritte once said) but made of one, with elements from a Mi-1 helicopter in 1/72 :

as most of you will have promptly noticed, appropriate weighting in order to avoid tail-sitting
involved a quite delicate front wheel placement

*laughs softly* Beautiful adaptation of a pipe for a novel item.  I wonder if this could be an icon for "pipe dream"?

I didn't know that expressions, but google tells me :

pipe dream
noun: pipe dream; plural noun: pipe dreams; noun: pipedream; plural noun: pipedreams
an unattainable or fanciful hope or scheme.
"free trade in international aviation will remain a pipe dream"

which is essentially another definition of Whiff, isn't it?  ;)

more bananas :

a 1/28 Sopwith Camel (I am busy lowering my stash level ...)
and a banana, because I wanted to see how it could look as a biplane

This is very logical (thus perfect): at a time when aerodynamics was not mandatory, a curved fuselage was very possible... ;)
