How about the advanced F-16 version proposed to the UAE but not followed up on? It had a stretch like the F-16XL but used a wing with the same planform as the F-22's wing. Combine that with a production version of the diverterless inlet tested on the JIST aircraft and you'd have quite the aircraft. If you also fitted a LO exhaust nozzle, with or without vectoring, you'd have a most dangerous aircraft.
