The Pucara is real. A captured Pucará was evaluated at A&AEE Boscombe Down after the Falklands conflict before being donated to the RAF museum:

Re a Whiff though, one could perhaps have one of two options:

The Falklands war does not happen but the RAF, looking for a CAS type adopt the type
The Falklands war does happen and part of war reparations, Argentina supplies the RAF a bunch as a CAS type.
