Arado Ar196 Ideas and Inspiration
« on: June 24, 2012, 05:50:38 AM »
There are some nice Ar196 kits available now - anyone want to have a go at an Ar196B:

Any other ideas?

Regards,

Greg

Oh admit it, you're all just itching to put those Arado floats under something else  :D

Sweet.

And yes, I'm hoping to put Revell's ex-Heller floats under Airfix new Emil repleat with fabric wings some day!   ;D  (Long live the fable of the Wasserschmitt!)

Here's my old "Ar-196T" carrier scout-bomber:

Landing gear from a Henschel 126. I had made a mock-up of this with Ju-87 spats--it looked "tougher", but the present one is more in keeping with my concept of a "first effort" to have a shipborne light bomber.

Using the Hs 126 gear for the Ar-196T was a great idea. How much simpler wing folding would be!  :)
