And with Strange Aeons...

...even I may finish a build. This bash was started at least five years ago, but Halloween provided a dash of motivation to finish this version of Great Cthulhu, a monstrous immortal being who regards humanity as more like canapes.

The body is a heavily sanded and slightly reposed Aurora King Kong, (The Polar Lights re-issue) with a head of Durham's water putty, cast in a liquid latex mold, formed over the head of a rubber octopus from my collection*.The big tentacles are from an old Lego
set circa 2010, I think? The hands and feet are getting re-sculpted with Aves epoxy putty, and the wings, clipped from a Bat skeleton Halloween decoration, will get a thin rolled sheet of Aves to simulate the wing membrane.

*Yes, I collect Octopus models-most of them are rubber toys.
The thread title comes from a classic quote concerning Cthulhu, "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with Strange Aeons, even Death may die."

"that is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die"   Always wanted to send that on a sympathy card.

I love it! Although surely you meant Dunwich putty, since it has that touch of eldritch horror that regular Durham putty lacks. Are you going to add small figures? (anywhere from 1/144 - 1/350 would probably do). How about the non-euclidean architecture of R'lyeh?

Ah! Honda Point, where the USN let the rocks take a nibble out of the Clemson Horde!  ;)
