I’m looking forward to this one! Now I should decide if I want to do the Osprey/Cheyenne cross or the F16XL with a forward fuselage of a two seat F-16. Maybe both in Israeli decals.

That opens all sorts of possibilities. I heard months ago about Hawk missiles being tied in with modern radars.

I’ve been fooling around with a Tomcat/F-111 bash. The Tomcat would get the F-111 front end and maybe a few other mods, possibly a third engine. This would produce a medium bomber that wouldn’t be passed off as a fighter. I have a 1/32nd Phantom tank that might resemble a B-58 Hustler weapon/fuel pod. Markings are up in the air yet.

I cannot remember who it was who built a Viggen with a Phantom forward fuselage. Looked right.

That sounds like fun!
I think I would have to paint the Tomcat/F-111 bash in SEA camo to help disguise the Tomcat look.

A little inspiration from my bench. This is the Emhar kit of the A7V, as the A7vb (veirbeiner, or four legged) It's an Imperial Walker...
Thinking of finishing either my Vezdekhod Bolshoi, or potting legs on a couple of FT 17 kits...

Your A7vb is awesome, Doc!  And I love the idea of a bunch of leggy FT 17s scampering about beneath it Velociraptor style

Very cool, Doc! 8)

Looking at it, one has to wonder whether the A7V might have been the original inspiration for the AT-AT. ???

Not exactly a kitbash, but a thought for combining two DC-4 mods, a Carvair with the swing-tail that Sabena fitted at least one cargo DC-4 with.  With straight-thru loading/unloading, you could cut turnaround time.  For grins, add the engines from a DC-4M and put it in Santa Fe Air Freight markings.

Nice! I like the Canadair tie-ins between the swing-tail and DC-4M North Star engine

I can get 1/144 DC-4 kit with Carvair conversion.  Does anyone make 1/144 DC-4M conversion sets?  I suspect I'll need to do custom decals if I put it in the Santa Fe Air Freight markings but the idea is just too tempting as the Carvair lines would go perfect with a version of Santa Fe's "Warbonnet" paint scheme.

Also thought of doing a "Carvair II" crossing a Carvair with a DC-6.

...  Does anyone make 1/144 DC-4M conversion sets?  ...

Evan: BraZ does a bunch of North Star engine nacelle conversion sets in resin - both original and cross-over exhaust types. BraZ also does sets for BOAC C.4 Argonaut nacelles for Merlins which are slightly different.

Real world inspiration:

I wonder about a similar conversion for a P-51B or later model.  That could make for an interesting appearance.
