There's so much putty & stuff on there it almost looks like it's been carved from a block of wood! ;D

I often think a lot of my own builds are more akin to sculpting than engineering. I think MAT is combining the best of both. Should be pretty neat.

I second that!

After the first round of PSR, the fuselage was painted in one colour to show where it needs more putty or more sanding. It's almost done.

Its time to build the front fuselage of Järven. Its made up of  pieces found on my scrap yard. The front of a MiG-23, that donated its swing wings to a Messerschmitt P.1102/5, and a cut down radar nose of a F-4D Phantom.

Kitbashing at it finest!! ...

Indeed! And that cut-down Phantom radome has really caught the 'personality' of Projekt 1500-01

The is a nice-looking scheme! And one heck of a lot easier to apply than Swedish splinter, I should think.

One day I'll plunge into the splinter camouflage. I have a SK 37E Stör-Viggen lined up for that.

Time to get the wings done. They a made up of plasticcard, the wingtips of a Gloster Javelin (that became a Javelin PR.11) and lots of putty.

Progress! The front fuselage have now been glued to the rest of the fuselage. Almost there - some PSR will do the rest.

The Järven has a great shape!

It does indeed! Are those Järven's intakes from the original Harrier kit?

Really like how the shape is coming together. I find myself wanting to use a similar profile for something sans the vertical tail.
