Bandai 1/35 Ramba RAL Commando Set

I got this kit back in 2018 and started it around the same time I got it. A Live Resin 1/35 figure is posed with it for size. It is snap fit but some parts were very loose so will need gluing.

After six years of sitting around, I finally got it primed this past weekend.

Painting one's namesake could be a little intimidating... :D  Looks like a good start on the Zaku head.

Thanks!

I want to weather it something like in this link. My weathering skills are no where close to his work though so lots of practice will be needed before I attempt it.

I might get a bottle of the AK Worn Effects as seen in this video.

These look great.

I have seen a few at local shows that really popped

Watching that video was like watching a dArtagnan video ... I only catch the meanings of one or two words but the message is loud & clear. ;)

Thanks! I really want to heavily weather it but I need a lot of practice doing the faded paint and rust effects over the bare metal look. I found some videos showing how to use the AK worn effects product but I don't have it yet. I need to order a bottle or two and practice, practice, practice.

I couldn't understand what he was saying but the tutorial itself was informative enough for me to see the basics of how it works. I don't have the AK worn effects yet but will order one or two soon but have no idea when I will actually get to using it. I will wait to order them as I read somewhere if they sit around too long it hardens up and solidifies so I don't want to order them and not use them just for them to solidify.

The close caption (CC) option will do a half-assed translation to English. Good enough when combined with my poor German to figure out what was going on.

You can also get some inspiration from tking's work here on BTS
