Skeleton Pass is a small pass in the Mojave Desert between a small mountain and a large hill covered in a jumble of boulders. The pass opens up onto a plain...in the middle of nowhere, and if you look at it on a map, it doesn't look too imposing of a hike. I've been there and it was brutal; not so much the heat but the small rocks and the uneven "road":
The kit just has you glue things on. I think the tools needed a strap. I hope the donkey doesn't get poked by that pick...
I'll have to fix the floating prospector. He's actually on the groundwork, just not all the way in.

Being unconventional with colors was also with paints. Used full size Rust-oleum rattle cans from hardware store. Decided to see what scheme I could put together with those paints. Fall back was normal model paints if didn't come up with something.
Get more paint per penny though color selection is way less than with Tamiya and such.
Will keep 'big can' option open for future builds. Can go either way depending on the model.

I still have this one too. An EX NVA of the former East German Army. I had already built it in 1991 based on a few pictures from the company that converted it. Then I was able to photograph him myself on an open day. They were then given to Greece or Finland.
