Another Mundane Truck Diorama
« on: September 11, 2025, 03:40:59 PM »
Since the 1:35 scale truck diorama I did last year, I decided to do one in 1:24 with a similar theme. I am still adding and making adjustments to the placement and probable additions. Still working on the ground work in certain areas. I have yet to airbrush some of the vegetation and ground as well. Basically just fine tuning everything before starting on the second 1:24 truck diorama. The second diorama is suppose to go together with this diorama, but not sure what I had planned might work together with this one. I may just have to keep it as a single bases, as suppose to two separate bases into one. I am still contemplating the design, so watch out for that one, when I've completed this first one, section one.

Hands up everyone else who thinks Charles is scamming us with photo's of a real earth mover's yard?  ???

On a more serious note: Seriously good, mate!   8)

The only things that give it away (a little bit) are the figures (no, they're not bad, it's just that the light doesn't reflect off the paint like it would cloth), & the blue chemical drums & the "witches hats", they don't have the uneven fading I would expect to see on them , if they'd been left out in a yard for a few days.

You should give classes on weathering and diorama building!
The foliage is amazing. Did you use plants from outdoors? No need to paint those shrubs. They look great. Just say it’s fall.

Amazing work as usual, Charles. How are you taking those pictures? With a telephoto and a small f-stop or something like that?

I used both commercial and plants from outside. Treated and in some cases, painted.

Thank you. I am using a galaxy 1 year old phone. I usually tey to get in clise as possible and snap. In other cases, I pull back and zoom in and snap. I use the auto features but I will start learning how to use the phone in maual position to see the differences.  Before this phone, which is about 1 to two years old, I had an old Huawei phone. That phone was over 10 years oöd and I'd prefered it better than this new one. I guess I just haven't gotten used to the way Galaxy sets uu its camera features. But I be more patient and scrutinize the galaxy features more carefully.
