RAAF B-1BA - Aussie Bone!
« on: December 31, 2016, 02:55:23 AM »
Hi all,
Simple: imagine the RAAF continued with dedicated bombers, culminating in the purchase of four B-1BAs in the mid-1980s.

Wow is that sweet! Yet more proof that few things spice up an aircraft like red 'roos!

Beautiful one, again, Zac!!  Though I do believe the Lindberg kit is the original B-1A configuration rather than B-1B.

Another proof that the US Bones should have been painted in SAC camo :)

Thanks all! It's a sweet kit and I'm very pleased with how the camo came out.

Though I do believe the Lindberg kit is the original B-1A configuration rather than B-1B.
That's what I thought - it has an escape capsule but no dorsal fairing. It's very simple and probably inaccurate for any version!

Love that, quite believable. I might airbrush that into memories of various airshows...

Which makes it perfect for the weird things that our DoD come up with. ;)

Nice build & fits into my RAM's universe nicely! :)

Thanks guys! If you can find it cheap it's a great buy. The only real downside is that the wing sweep isn't sync'd so you have to do it manually.
