Nice work, Rodolfo (as usual)

Right now, your Ferrari looks a bit like the world's fastest hydroplane  :D

Great masking job, too - especially on the engine.

I need your help!

After applying a coat of Gunze H30 Gloss Clear, diluted to 70% with nitro as usual (something I've been doing for years),
This happened to some parts of the bodywork.

Apart from the fact that the model is ruined, can anyone help me understand what happened? I think the process is irreversible.

The bodywork was treated evenly with Humbrol Enamel 220, also diluted to 70%.

Oh that is brutal, Rodolfo! After all your work  :o

Gunze H30 is acrylic, right? Being enamel, perhaps as it cured the Humbrol 220 'ate' up through the GSI-H30 clear coat acrylic layer? Why it chose to happen this time is anyone's guess  ???

I feel your pain Rod…  :(

I had a very similar disaster with one of my Alt DH Hornet aircraft builds when I sprayed an acrylic gloss varnish over a matte Humbrol acrylic paint scheme.  Fortunately, I had not yet applied any decals and the mess was recoverable by gently sanding the worst of the crinkles, re-applying a spray under coat and starting again. However, I do wonder if it is something Humbrol related… 🤔
