Post by: Steve Blazo on March 03, 2015, 12:16:49 AM
Hello all !!
Have been surfing this site for awhile, finally decided to jump in. The talent here is beyond words, so many great models, and the inspiration is fantastic. I build mostly 1/35 armor, hovertanks and concept vehicles. Below are a few of my works, all comments welcome they only make me a better modeler.

Great finishing! I am really diggin' the hover tank. That looks like a full-on scratch build? Don't see a lot of that these days.

PS - if you remove the "s" from the https in your photo link, the pictures will show up on more browsers. I'm getting red x 's until I pulled the "s" out.

Golly Gee Whiz !
Another building & weathering guru has arrived at BTS - Welcome.
Lot to say about each tank.  Will keep it to one.  Adding tan to lower sides of hovertank really enhances it :)

Some fantastic builds there and love the finishes on them all. The T99 would have to be my favorite....

Thank you for posting that.  Now the question is if it is just front engined or did the Russians go all out Merkava style with it.  Based on the fuel drums I am guessing just moving the engine to the front.  It looks like the drivers hatch is on the left side of the hull.  What did you use as the base model for it?

Yes, just moved the engine up front, no riders.  The hull is DML's T-72 with Zveda's T-90 turret. The T-90 also gave the front armor with a little cutting and re-arranging.

You sure hit it out of the park with this baby!

I can't help it, but my favorite part is the little flag.

Welcome to BTS!

Most of the pictures I found of all the modern Soviet tanks on training / show grounds had a small national flag displayed on the antenna.  The flag was made from the Zvezda logo on the box from the T-90, cut out, scraped the card board off until only the printed paper was left and folded it in half and used white glue to put it around the antenna.
