A friend gave me a gift of this nice kit. having a bunch of harriers in real warpaint, I decided it was "Whiffer Time".

The build is totally OOB. I left all of the external crap to show off the airframe.

The decals are all scraps from the spares-box, the serials from the old Matchbox SHAR.

The paint is 30+ year old Humbrol Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey over White Ensign Colorcoats Sky. A brush-coat ov Vallejo satin gave a seal and an even finish.
I am happy with it. It looks fine alongside its WW2 FAA brethren.

Beautiful retro scheme; I just wish that for CONA, the USMC had painted some of their Harriers in retro schemes. For example, a VMFA-214 AV-8B+ in "Black Sheep" markings from their Corsairs.

I have visualized an AV-8B in the Yellow Wings scheme of the USMC's Douglas SBD-1s in the days before WW2. That was how I did my USMC Gee Bee racer.
