Guys, I'm not an armour buff but while down in Yuma earlier this year we were looking at all the armour they have on display near the main gates.
Then this armoured car of some sort came ripping over the desert, anyone have an idea what it is from these photos, it was the best I could do with the camera at extreme zoom and the subject moving quite rapidly.

I'm not an armor buff either but it looks like an LAV to me. What that apparatus is on top though is beyond me.

Looks like a LAV with some kind of TOW system to me. ???

Looks like a M1134 Anti-Tank Guided Missile Vehicle (part of the Stryker family of vehicles):

You can actually gets kits of this from both AFV Club and Trumpeter:

and yes, it is the TOW missile.

Yuma = USMC = LAV-25 not Stryker which is Army.
Looks like an LAV with the TOW turret of the M1134, probably testing a replacement
for the older LAV-AT.

WALL-E has gotten himself a new ride!

Thanks guys :)
I'm a bit surprised I manage to get a shot or two of it, I haven't figured out how to get the shutter speed up on the camera and while stationary objects the pics come out quite good, moving ones are a bit of a problem at the moment. At extreme zoom, the subject can quickly disappear from the view finder and then the shot I want disappears with it.

yeah, def not a Stryker hull. Check out the exhaust, and the general LAV Gen 2-ishness appearance.

Ok, did a little more checking. Me now thinks this might be the outcome ( or part thereof) of the USMC’s ACAT-III Light Armored Vehicle Anti-Tank Modernization Program. See here (http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/LAV-AT-Modernizing-the-USMCs-Wheeled-Tank-Killers-07373/)
