To start with, what about an recon drone based on the Fi-103 with the warhead replaced with a recon suite and perhaps a retrieval parachute?

Thats a thought, like the Ryan Firebees over Vietnam. Air launch from a Heinkel 111 and recover by chute.

It's been a very long day in surgery today because my very first thought was to take the wings off the manned version, put some wheels underneath it and take it to the Bonneville Salt Flats for a run.    ;D ;D ;D :-\

Also, the Germans took the pulsejet and some Ju-52 floats and made a speedboat-

Perfect for zipping up the I-5 corridor :)

My plans for one of the old Hawk/Testors/Italeri Fi-103s involves burying the engine in the aft fuselage of the missile and changing from pulse jet to a turbojet.  Still trying to determine the best or most suitable location for the air intake and should there be two or just one.

Wouldn't that give the WaSP in Centralia-Chehalis something juicy for them to sink their overly zealous ideals into.

Aw c'mon Doc, if you were stationed in Yard Birds land, you'd be just as bored as the Troopers.  ;)
