In the mid/late-1980s the Soviet Kuibyshev Polytechnic University turned an ANn24 into hovercraft. The wings were severed and at the “stumps” fins were placed, its engines were retained but with smaller propellers inside ring fairings. The fuselage was retained intact, but placed on a platform that contained the rubberised air-cushion. Information about its qualities are almost zero; there wasn’t a follow-up.
