Jonny Quest (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonny_Quest_(TV_series)) was a great SF cartoon that ran in the mid 1960s. The stories, artwork and various vehicles were great.
A while ago, Retired In Kalifornia II (iirc) mentioned or posted this drawing of the Jonny Quest hovercraft in one of my build threads:

I found this drawing online and used it as the main reference:

It looked like a quick and relatively easy job to convert it to 3D. Looking at some screen grabs, I came up with a reasonable size in 1/35, designed it and printed a copy. I didn't obsess over the details. It's close enough to represent a "real world" version of the cartoon craft:

Painted. Not really obvious, but the inside of the upper handrail section is actually a very dark gray:

I showed it to my wife when she got home and she said "Hey, isn't that from Jonny Quest?" She'd watched the reruns as a kid and loved the show. If we weren't already married, I'd marry her!

That turned out really nice! I never had the opportunity to watch Johnny Quest thanks to living out in the Aleutian islands or later in life living in Germany and not here in the states when it aired on television.

Great design work, followed by a neat build.

Looks great, the 3D print came out really nice
I've unfortunately never seen the 1960's Jonny Quest show, I really enjoyed watching the 80's and 90's version when I was a kid tho. I should go back and watch the original at some point to see where it all started.

Really nice job, Frank!
But I can't help but think that those seats were designed for;
a. people with no legs,
b. people who prefer to sit cross-legged, or
c. people who like sitting with their knees up around their ears.
:-\
PS: No, I've never seen Jonny Quest.

You're missing a treat- JQ was a great show. I have to agree about the seating arrangement though. If memory serves, the hovercraft only appeared in the credits, and the brief scene has the characters more crouching than sitting.
Quibbles aside, Frank-it is an outstanding job. For my part, I'd love to see the ray projector from "The Invisible Monster".

Oh that is magnificent!
I remember watching JQ in the 70s/80s - and this just brought all those memories back.
Well done, Frank!

Thanks, guys - it was a relatively quick project as far as 3D builds go; it took 2-3 days total spread out over a month or so.
The hovercraft is in the end credits. Here's the intro/end credits:

The music was great, too.

OK, I've just watched the Intro/Extro video & I have seen Jonny Quest, enough to clearly remember those scenes, anyway, but not enough to remember any of the episodes.

Now take it into surrealism

The figure reminds me of #6 from The Prisoner.
