Title: a little father & son project
Post by: Spey Phantom on October 23, 2024, 12:13:36 PM
for the past few weeks, me and my little boy have been working together on building a kit.
for ease, i let hime choose an easy snapkit from the stash and he chose a Zvezda 1/100 Rochelle (from Disney's Planes).

i told him he could have it painted any color he liked, he chose pink & blue (later he wanted to drop the blue, im not judging).
we chose some decals from the sparesbox and this is the end result, i know it looks a bit girly, but im not judging him, if he like it its okay with me, we had a fun time building it.  8)

the blue above the eyed i couldnt work away, i was planning on doing the upper part of the fuselage in blue.
building this project gave me an idea, i wonder how good that disney Corsair would look in aeronavale or dutch navy colors?  ???

Noble project, planting the seeds of a life-long imagination early.

My not-quite-3 grandson just chose some pink shoes (croc type sandal-y things, I think) today (yesterday, now).

Pink was a popular masculine/macho/man's-man/blokey-bloke* colour, once, but things change. Maybe it will be again.
