Very nice!

How was the build?  Any complications or issues?

Some tolerances were tight and the instructions were vague as to location of parts, just showing a line pointing to where they went. I found when the rear portion of the canopy was fitted, the rear end stood proud from the fuselage. They give you a closed canopy and open canopy option in the kit, but I had this problem with both canopies. Full length intakes and exhausts were nice to see included.

Thanks for the summary.  I have a pair of each Skyshark kit (XA2D-1 and A2D-1) now in the stash.  I have yet to separate parts from the runners to do any check fit.  The one thing I did not like in either version of the kit was that ejection seat.  While it is the seat that was used, it looks like a torture device and I decided that perhaps an alternative seat such as the Stanley rocket ejection seat or the Douglas ESCAPAC ejection seat might be a better option for a what-if/Alt-History Skyshark.

Yes indeed.   8)
Fondly remember 40s/50s era of dark blue USN aircraft.

Well, your 'quite good' excels, regardless. The Skyshark was such an odd beast from so many angles, and I've never been sure whether I liked it or not, but your build certainly makes me appreciate it.

Excellent build! The only thing I could do is place it on a mirror or a piece of flight deck.
