Hi all
This is something I built for the In Memorial build over on the Whatif Forum a tribute to Tophe
It starts with this inspiration.....

Had to give enough ground clearance to clear the prop so the undercarriage became a bit leggy

The pilot will need a pretty substantial ladder to get to the cockpit (although still not as bad as a Heyford)
Finally a couple of scale shots

Really enjoyed the challenge of this one and how it came out. Hope it does Tophes design justice
As always all comments and criticisms gratefully accepted.

 I'm sure Tophe is smiling down on you.

Excellent rendition, 'Mog!
Your build has prompted some notions of my own. Rather than cluttering up your build-thread, I'll mount that take on my Profiles and Pixels thread:

Reminds me of the Airspeed AS.47 project . . .
From Putnam's 'Airspeed'.
The AS.47 was a twin-boom, twin fin device with a. wide-track tricycle undercarriage, but otherwise somewhat reminiscent of the Fokker D.XXIII in that it had tractor and pusher engines with, between them, the crew of pilot and bomb-aimer-navigator. The pilot’s cockpit, with its windscreen and canopy, was offset slightly to the port side of the nacelle, and the bomb-aimer was accommodated to his right and below. No doubt means had been considered of abandoning the aircraft in emergency, but on the face of it the crew did not seem to have much chance unless the pusher propeller could somehow have been jettisoned by explosive means. The estimated performance was, however, attractive.

Thanks chaps, much appreciated
Robunos :- it does look similar, it is even closer if you look at Apophenia 's take on the design
