Maybe use on 1/200 Yamato as bad 1/72 battery in gun boat build. Might be too large ???
Garage sale built and "used" model. Cheap. Now prime to be large 1/72 gun boat.
-
In 1/72, this would be ~62mm gun. In 1/200, we’re talking ~171mm.
-
Is a Floaty GB on the calendar. Hmmm....
-
Their company insignia looks like a fucking SS division uniform band, yeah that's not
creepy.
:-X >:(
Gee, let's call our company Das Werk and use an SS style insignia, I mean it obviously
has no relation the Waffen SS Das Reich Division. Assholes.

WW1 U-Boat is different subject. Don't recall seeing kits on such. Is big yet manageable 1/72 size at 31+ inches.
-
I haven't been able to find a distributor in the US, only EBay.
-
I haven't been able to find a distributor in the US, only EBay.
Yeah, but based on their company logo and the amount of Reich-fantasy shit, would you want to give
them any money?
-
Nein, but the EF-126 was flown by the Rssskies after the war.
-
I’m not going to buy any of it. I just don’t understand some people’s obsession with German/Nazi modeling. One of the reasons I turned to whiffing was if I ever saw another super detailed Me 109 I was going to hurl chunks. I hope their thinking doesn’t go beyond models.

Am with you on that.

The SM U9 is quite a 'famous' submarine - see here (https://www.themodellingnews.com/2020/10/das-new-boat-from-das-werk-u-boat-sm-u.html) and here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SM_U-9). Note the comment that the U-9 and the raider SMS Emden were the only ships which Kaiser Wilhelm II awarded the Iron Cross.
-
I never realised that the new Pz. Sfl. Ia 5cm Pak 38 tank destroyer VK3.02 shown above was actually meant to be an airborne vehicle supporting Fallschirmjäger.

Hmmm...maybe do as a heavy APC in the same line as a Namer?
-
Release the O.G.R.E.!
I always wanted one of these to kit bash with an M1 Abrams. The Peddinghaus Airmodel vacu-form conversion was the only game in town until now or scratch-building.

For postwar non-NAZI use, there's the aptly named Hacker Motormuli M80 (http://www.hkfw.at/en/our-vehicles/79-hacker-motormuli-m80-2-en) a post war tractor built from the RSO. There's also the Waldschlepper Type Deutz 1500 (https://www.unusuallocomotion.com/album/semi-tracked-vehicles/waldschlepper-type-deutz-1500.html), a halftrack made with RSO parts.

I must admit that when I saw the box art I thought it was a perfect candidate for the Post Apocalyptic GB (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?board=99.0)

Meh!
Another T-XX to compete with all of the other T-XX?
I would have been more impressed if they had taken the time to actually create something "new" such as the GSP ferry in the background...

That's really not very effective camouflage and concealment, lucky they are only countering WWI style armored cars.

Agreed on the poor choice of position, but aren't those GAZ-AA Soviet trucks in the shooting gallery?

Those look like GAZ-AA. Where's the fourth figure? Out in the forest taking a break? Or maybe the guy taking the picture?

Hmmm...maybe do as a heavy APC in the same line as a Namer?
Kit acquired from eBay a couple of weeks ago. It consists of a complete Porsche Tiger hull and a very large one-piece moulding of the armored cover. Sadly, it will not just drop on top of an M1 Abrams hull. The positive though is that I now have a template to use in making an armored cover for an M1 Abrams hull or pretty much any other hull that the original part does not fit on without modification. Anyone need a Porsche Tiger hull?

Kurt!! Put down the bloody camera and get over here. There's work to be done!

Wish I had known you wanted a template, I have the 1/35th scale templates for a Rammtiger
that were published in a Japanese armour modelling magazine back in the ‘80s.
Want a copy? ;)

Thanks Jon. I would certainly appreciate a copy of that template.

I just noticed the "In cooperation with Amusing Hobby" on the JpK box art. Wonder if Amusing is planning the Raketenjagdpanzer 1/2 version?
-
From the Takom thread, the artist mentions this is box art for a Das Werk project...

As I mentioned in the Takom thread the artwork was made for a CustomScale resin conversion, not sure why the artist would say it's for a Das Werk kit. The owner of CustomScale has helped with research for a few of Das Werk's kits, maybe the owner of Das Werk got the artist to make it as a favor for CustomScale in return.
-
As I mentioned in the Takom thread the artwork was made for a CustomScale resin conversion,
I can't find it on their website. Can you?
-
There isn't anything for this conversion on the website (it was never officially released) but but you can find photos & information on their Facebook page.
Here is a photo that I took at the SMC model show in 2019 showing the resin conversion & in the background you can see the artwork with the Customscale logo in the corner.
-
Thanks

I can't find it on their website. Can you?
I couldn't either, but its on their FB page
