Su-24 Fencer
« on: February 25, 2017, 08:27:45 AM »
A topic for all your Su-24 Fencer ideas.

How about an operational version in a layout similar (the wings were a tad smaller) to the first prototype?

This way, you could nick the wings from a 1/48 Su-15 and put them on a 1/72 Su-24.
Cheers,
Moritz

Presumably the operational version would not have the lift engines of the first prototype?  That could get interesting, especially if you used the wings from a Flagon-F or Flagon-G.

I thought I had enough Fencers in my collection... now images like that tempt me further. The cross over of stores is really interesting.

If true, also clever that UA is using otherwise under-utilised Su-24MR recce types as their Storm Shadow platform

I wonder what a Fencer would look like with a belly full of Brimstones on those triple launchers the RAF Tornados carried them with.
