Found on Twitter.

Surprise!

I like his paint wash methods. Fairly simple and they look effective.

I also liked his Tinker-Toy tree-making technique. Not completely original but really nicely done

I finally understand what Vallejo means by "wet on wet" painting - which is apparently not the same as what I understood as "wet on wet"

It would have saved me a lot of frustration with their paint if they'd used a different terminology. He paints Vallejo on a previously wetted (with water) surface to paint this Humvee:

1/720 or 1/350 scale?

By the end of WWII, American industrial might and the need to fight on two fronts resulted in the U.S. Navy having a greater tonnage of combatant ships than all other navies combined. In 1947, the U.S. had 3,820,000 tons versus the world's combined 2,860,000 tons.

These massed parking lots/graveyards in 1;1200 or smaller 3D prints would make spectacular forced-perspective bases for standard scale aircraft.

For our Canadian tankers (Graeme?)

Something a bit different, a towable and roll able quad fuel bladder shown being towed by a Canadian Centurion Mk.5 and fueling the same Centurion. NDIL images, Circa 1960.

Note: It has it's own license plate.

The weathering on that trop. Bf 109 is ridiculous! Plus the swastika decal looks silvered.

Looking at that picture again, and particularly at the trailer's wheels, they look to be British. So, the question is, has the fighter been captured by the British and being taken away, or salvaged by the Luftwaffe who just happen to be using a captured British trailer . . .

cheers,
Robin.

Doing some reverse image search, seems to be "6th squadron of the Jagdgeschwader 27 air regiment, piloted by Lieutenant Gerhard Mix. Western Desert, Egypt, August 14, 1942. Shot down by Spitfires of 92 Squadron near El Alamein, claimed by Sqn Ldr Wedgwood".

At least that's the story.
