Gentleman Jim Jameson - Hired Gun - 1/35 Finished
« on: April 10, 2020, 08:34:39 AM »
This is part of the new Masterbox gunslinger series.

I've mostly assembled him and his horse, and the face painting is about 60% done:

I used some cotton from a Q-tip to add the stringy hair over his ears. He looks like a crazed Orthodox Jewish Irishman:

Are you looking at me?

The figure has an unfortunate gluteo-testicular defect that allows him to fit in the saddle. However, it also means he'll fit a motorcycle quite well...

The box art illustration reminds me of Lee Marvin in "Paint Your Wagon"

They do nice subjects.

My first thought on the facial likeness was Axl Rose for some bizarre reason

"He looks like a crazed Orthodox Jewish Irishman."

If that's not comment of the day, it sure should be in the running!

Just like your excellent figure, Fank! Your Hired Gun would be in the running at any show worthy of the name.

I especially liked how you used bits of a Q-tip to bulk up the hair.

Outstanding work!

Hmmm. Where's that Falcon Ranchero?  ::)

Boxart Jim Jameson is a mix of Marvin Lee and Axl Rose alright, but plastic Jim Jameson looks like a red-haired Michael Sheen in "Underworld".

Lycans and vampire not  just in generic-Eastern-Europe, but also in the Wild West?  :icon_surprised:

Sure is!   ;D Apparently plenty we don't yet know about how the West was won.  :icon_surprised:
Cheers,

Moshe James is almost finished - he needs a flat coat. He's starting to look like a seedier Brad Pitt or Michael York:

I added a new belt, belt buckle (from aluminum tape backed by plastic) and bullets (from 0.4mm ABS waste from my printer) because the original kit just had vague lumps for each. I tried adding "JJ" to the belt buckle, just ended up smearing it.

"'Sup ladies?"

I'm done with this guy. I don't know much about horses and the fit of the various bits was iffy, but it's good enough for quarantine:

I noticed a bit of flash on the horses ass. Eh.

The horse is going to the stables, but I think think we'll be seeing more of Mr. James soon...
