I have an old 1/72 Hasegawa OV-1 Mohawk that is just screaming for floats. Pics later.

Welcome aboard, ed!

Here is the basic assembly. As expected from an old Hasegawa kit, there are a few issues. Like many kits, trying to close the wheel wells ends up need a fair amount of putty as the doors really don't fit. The floats from from an old 1/48 Cessna.

When you say AV-1M, are you looking at this being an attack variant:

Pretty much. But I will leave it with the side by side cockpit.

A shame you do not have a scrapped F-9F or TF-9 Cougar to source the front fuselage section. It might be an almost perfect match to the Mohawk.

I suspect a Pucara front end would do nicely for that tandem-seat two-seat front end.

Interesting ! Some jet nose of some country likely close enough to work.
