Having a cabinet clean out and found this at the back, an early RW German Tank hunter team carrier, with Panzerschrecks.
I remember seeing an nifty what if scene on ANZAC Plastic blog with a Carrier with an RCL in the Desert.
http://anzacplastic.blogspot.com/2011/12/135-universal-carrier-dan.htmlSome very nice other builds on there as well. Look up the Waterworld Barge on WIM, same guy.
There are some RW examples as well, the Argentinians used a T16 Carrier and a Belgian or Danish version.
Anyhooo.. I decided to have a mind meld with this idea with my take on this principle.
Recalling the Borgward build that started out with an Recoilless Rifle type mount that migrated to missiles, I dug out the RCL component from where it had been stored away.
I have based my RCL on the British 3.7inch or maybe the 95mm RCL development from 1944, which did not see service until 1946 as an Airborne weapon, eventually to become the MOBAT or WOMBAT
Test fit at the Hmmmmmm stage.
Started to flesh out the mount a bit more. Box in the rear stowage for the BBDA.
A few of these at Arnhem may have made a difference perhaps, so I think I will go for an Airborne type carrier look. Might probably work on a Jeep as well. But don't have one of those spare.
