My Mom bought a used, "almost new" 1971 Austin America/BMC ADO16. It was a fun car to drive, when it wasn't in the garage to fix a fluid leak of some kind. Drive two weeks, spend a week in the garage...

Had to check what that was, it's an Austin 1100. Never knew they sold them in the USA.

I had two, but they were too short, same with the original BMW exhausts.

I remember seeing more than one (usually in for repairs when we would drop ours off...) transmission issues were annoyingly common, but when it was running well the car was fun to drive.
