Ah, ok.  I have long had the idea for taking two complete F-35B Lift systems (engine, lift fan, clutch, roll posts (well at least 1 set) and mounting them on a transport fuselage (maybe C-27J sized) - be that in a shoulder position or further ut on wings a bit - and making a high speed, VTOL platform.
